Due to unavoidable circumstances of the pandemic, IC 2020 was held online via Hubilo, the virtual event platform. In these unprecedented times, we believe Leadership is the need of the hour. This year, International Congress is bigger and better. 10,000+ young leaders are coming together in the face of adversity to celebrate youth leadership, right from their homes.

IC 2019 was held in Hyderabad, India. The story of IC 2019 is an inspiring one. The conference was initially scheduled to be held in the island of Sri Lanka. Following unexpected terror attacks in Sri Lanka, IC was shifted to India, with only one & a half months to go. Yet, we did not lose hope. The power of a world coming together was demonstrated a little stronger when 500+ young leaders from 90+ countries & territories made last minute travel arrangements to fly to India for IC 2019.

IC 2018 was held in the city of Hurghada, in Egypt. This was the conference that marked the grand celebration of 70 years of AIESEC as an organisation striving for peace in the world. Branded as ‘The Paradoxical Realm’, IC 2018 was an awe inspiring and challenging experience for delegates. Set in the background of the famous Giza Pyramids, IC 2018 was a journey of celebrating the history of not just Egypt but also of AIESEC.

IC 2017 was held in Cartagena, Columbia. It was the 69th AIESEC International Congress, an important event to measure the mid-term progress of AIESEC’s five year vision created at IC 2015. This was also the very first Congress where the World’s Largest Lesson was held for the first time, an event that witnessed more than 1000 young leaders spreading across Cartagena to teach young school kids about the United Nations Global Goals.

IC 2016 was held in Warsaw, Poland. One of the landmark moments from the Congress was the Global Village, where delegates from 100+ countries & territories dressed up in their country attire, and marched through the streets of Warsaw, demonstrating the power of global togetherness, youth power and love. The Congress also pulled off a remarkable YouthSpeak Forum, hosted by the famous internet personality, Jay Shetty.

A historical five year plan was born at the International Congress 2015 held in Gurgaon, India. The Congress was created to host a 9-day dreaming process for 1500+ delegates from 110+ countries & territories. The Congress is still remembered as one of the best and most magnificent experiences in the history of AIESEC. The key highlight of the Congress a grand Indian Night celebration that brought international guests close to the country’s rich heritage and traditions.

Fast-foward to 11 years ago from now, IC was held in the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The congress was hosted at Palace of the Golden Horses, engaged with over 60 organisations and 100 business leaders in expanding global network and developing universally required skills of cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. To maximise the impact, IC 2009 also allowed participants to join the congress virtually which had reached to 50,000 youth globally.
